Statement of Employment
A statement of employment you can complete in minutes
A contract of employment outlines the terms by which you employ. While your contract of employment can be verbal, written, implied or a mixture of all three, you should keep in mind that verbal and implied contracts of employment can be as binding as a written one, however, their terms are difficult to prove in the event of any dispute.
As an employer you have a legal duty to provide all your employees with a written statement of employment that must include their main terms of employment within two months of taking them on. To fulfil this obligation we include a simple statement of employment template with guidance notes that makes it easy. This written statement then becomes part of their contract of employment along with a copy of your employee handbook.
